Robert “Bob” Field is a respected security professional with over 33 years of military, federal law enforcement, and private security experience. He has extensive knowledge and practical experience regarding emergency response, emergency management, private and hospital security, and law enforcement defensive tactics instructor training.
Bob served 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a federal law enforcement officer providing security protection of vital ports and waterways of the United States. Bob retired from the Coast Guard Investigative Service as a Special Agent, a criminal investigator in December of 2005 and since his retirement he has managed a private security company operating in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware and currently serves as the Director of Safety and Security for a hospital in New Jersey.
Bob has been certified as a New Jersey State Police Security Officer Instructor since 2006 and provides instruction in the following topics:New Jersey Attorney General’s Use of Force Policy, Terrorism Awareness, Security Measures: Prevention and Deterrence, New Jersey’s Critical Infrastructure Awareness, Suspicious Letters and Packages, Suicide Bombers and Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIED’s), First Aid Awareness, Incident Command System, Ethics, Report Writing, Street Gangs, Active Shooters, and Surveillance Detection.
Bob is Certified as a Healthcare Emergency Professional from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers and holds an AS degree in Environmental Safety and Security Technologies and a BS degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness from Thomas Edison State University and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Healthcare Administration and Public Policy. He has been recognized as the CS 2017 Director of the Year Award Winner which is an exclusive award for professionals that go above and beyond their line of duty.
