Paul Timm, PSP, is the Vice President of Facility Engineering Associates. He is a nationally acclaimed expert in physical security. Paul is an experienced Crisis Assistance Team volunteer through the National Organization for Victims Assistance (NOVA).
John Thomas is the Executive Director and Chief of Police at the Department of Public Safety at the University of Southern California (USC). Chief Thomas worked patrol assignments in Wilshire, 77th Street, Southwest, Newton Street and Pacific Divisions. He was also assigned to the Department’s Gang Enforcement Detail in South Los Angeles, Operation South Bureau CRASH and worked undercover narcotic enforcement as a member of the Department’s FALCON (Focused Attack Linking Community Organizations and Neighborhoods) Unit.
Frank G. Straub, Ph.D., is Director of Strategic Studies at the Police Foundation, a non-profit organization that studies ways to improve policing in the United States. Dr. Straub has conducted in-depth studies of the San Bernardino terrorist attack, the Kalamazoo mass shooting, and the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting. He is currently leading a review of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Dr. Straub is the project manager for the Averted School Violence database.
Stan Skipworth is the Director of Campus Safety for the Claremont University Consortium serving the Claremont Colleges: Pomona College, Claremont Graduate University, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, Pitzer College, Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences. Stan also serves as the Legislative Chair for the California College & University Police Chiefs Association.
Ashley is the Public Safety Grants Development Consultant for Grants Office LLC. Ashley supports state and local law enforcement agencies in their pursuit of technology-friendly grant funding opportunities. She also works with campus safety teams to create and leverage partnerships with local law enforcement to fund security initiatives, such as building access systems, fixed surveillance, and body-worn cameras.
Edward Purchase is the Public Safety Operations and Clery Act Training Coordinator at the University of North Carolina – Administration. He is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of system-wide training of Clery compliance officers/coordinators, campus law enforcement, emergency management, behavioral threat assessment teams, and other parties with responsibility for the safety and welfare of students, faculty and staff of the UNC System (17 separate institutions).
Joseph Pangaro is a retired Police Lieutenant from Ocean Township NJ located in Monmouth County. Mr. Pangaro is a Certified Public Manager (CPM).
James Marcella is the director of industry associations for Axis Communications and is responsible for business development of the K-12 and higher education market segment in North America.
Stephen Lopez is currently the Chief of Police for the New Mexico State University system. Lopez has been in campus law enforcement for over 28 years. He has also been adjunct faculty for 14 years teaching courses in criminal investigations and public health, and holds numerous law enforcement instructor certifications.
Daniel Linskey is a Managing Director in Kroll’s Investigations and Disputes practice, based in the Boston office. As the former Superintendent-in-Chief of the Boston Police Department (BPD) and a 27-year veteran of the force, Dan provided strong leadership through some of the most tragic and contentious events in the city’s history, including the Boston Marathon bombings and the Occupy Movement.
